"It is a well-established fact that if you see Merry Hell live, you will leave with a
big grin on your face. Their music is rousing, joyous, uplifting and totally infectious and probably contagious"
We are delighted that the fabulous Merry Hell have asked to come back to 'one of their favourite intimate venues' - Poppleton. They went down a storm last time they came, so we can't wait to have them back on the Poppleton Live Stage.
Founded in their native North West of England, Merry Hell is a multi-award winning, eight-piece folk-rock band, offering joyful, uplifting folk-rock, with a positive message in troubled times. Native to the North-West of England, the 8-piece musical charabanc emerged from the embers of much-loved folk-punk band The Tansads, before developing a life and feel all of its own.
Their energy and passion is complemented by their love of what they do and desire to share their togetherness with as many people as possible. Through 6 well-received albums and hundreds of gigs, they’ve offered beacons of light to anyone valuing both melody and inclusive humanity.
Their live appearances have won many admirers, a recent review referred to 'every performance a celebration' and they are currently holders of Folking.com's Best Live Band Award.
